  Beautiful house in which craftsmen still work. Fire alarms in the room were not fully installed, the swimming pool was not yet finished, the restaurant was closed. A note about the last 2 points by email would have been helpful, as it was difficult to find a restaurant seat without a reservation. Breakfast is priced at 20 euros per person, but we expect more quality, more selection and fresh fruit, sorted by variety. Subjective value around 7 euros per person.

  I was in the restaurant with my family (14 people) for Christmas dinner on December 25th, 23. We had to order the food weeks in advance and then had to wait almost two hours for the food. Three people have a menu. First starter was burnt avocado toast. The second starter was a soup that tasted like dishwashing water and rags. The main course was cold, dry duck with two drops of sauce. The kids had fries with nuggets without ketchup or mayo. There was no sauce for the schnitzel with boiled potatoes and the rump steak we ordered was raw and bled nicely. The fries served with it were cold. The waitress then deducted the drinks from the bill, which was very courteous. Next year we're going somewhere else. (We were only restaurant guests. NO HOTEL GUESTS)

  Unfortunately, our stay ended up being around the same time as the outside was being renovated. For this reason the restaurant was not open. The renovation noise was minimal and barely noticeable. We had a suite, which included a decent sized bathtub. The room was spacious and very clean. I particularly liked the old-style furniture. (However the chairs in the room were not very sturdy. ) but the room design itself was nothing really special. Just basic white paint. No crown molding. And the chandelier in our room had some dead bulbs in it. Unfortunately, they made some strange design choices when updating the bathrooms that really put a damper on our stay. The toilet was moved to the opposing entryway. It was barely large enough to turn around in and the hardware for holding toilet paper was broken. The thin sliding door for the toilet was made of semi opaque glass and you could easily be seen and heard when using it. The wifi was practically non-existant and we had to unplug the table lamps to access the only outlets in the room to charge our phones. It's a nice place for taking aesthetic photos, which is what we wanted, but the wifi and the toilet really need improvement.
