Had hip surgery here last week and everyone from reception to the ward was super calm, friendly, helpful and competent. Special thanks go to the doctors Dr. Ahmad and Mr. Stamp as well as the Station 5 staff.

I would have liked to give 5 stars after my first stay (private station 3b). I was looked after very well, everyone made an absolute effort, was in a good mood, was friendly, competent and really tried to make the stay as pleasant as possible. In the lounge area, care was always taken to ensure that hot water and everything else needed to prepare tea, for example, was always available. If you needed medication, it was taken care of promptly and the doorbell was answered within a few minutes. People often asked if they were okay or needed something. The hygiene and work of the lady who was driving the cleaning cart was excellent and absolutely thorough. Really 5 ***** for this! A short time later I was back there for an operation. The admission to the operation and the preparation went smoothly, very personal, competent and experienced. You felt like you were in good hands, because it's not a pleasant feeling when you know the operation is about to start. The 5***** for this too. We continued to the holding area - the area where you are "wired" and prepared for the operation. When we arrived, with a grin, the message came straight away: "... well? Wash once, cut, blow-dry...? :0) This eased the tension a bit and you immediately had a smile on your face. A short but humorous conversation developed (if the gentleman in question reads this, he will remember, because we were talking about the Google reviews ;0) ) and the excitement disappeared for the time being. The other employees there were also completely professional, very kind and tried very hard to explain every step. There was also a lot of attention paid to my personal problem with nausea after anesthesia, which has always accompanied me up until now - I can say that for the first time THAT wasn't a problem at all. So until I fell asleep, everything was perfect! From here and with awakening on station 6, unfortunately there are only 2 ** (The doctors are excluded from this because, despite a tight appointment and operation schedule, they always took a few minutes early in the morning to ask how they were feeling) One of the previous speakers here had already mentioned it and was unfortunately accused of alleged “racism” again. She described exactly how it corresponds to the facts! 90% of the nursing staff have a migrant background and are barely fluent in German, nor do they think for themselves and everything has to be “announced”. This has nothing to do with racism at all, but is a fact that unfortunately - especially in the medical field - is to the detriment of the patient when communication in both directions hardly works. And with all respect and understanding for staff shortages, we simply have to say that clearly. It cannot be the case (and this has already been mentioned in the reviews) that a patient has to wait hours for a painkiller, which has happened several times, that you have to beg for painkillers more than twice or that you are completely forgotten and then it is on night duty can try again. Furthermore - and this has happened to me - it is equally unlikely that you wake up from a major operation, lie in bed, shaking and struggling to breathe, and two nurses stand in front of you, helpless, and ask you in weak German whether they should open the window . Sorry, but I just can't think of anything else to say. In addition to being short of breath, I almost had a panic attack because I thought they both had no idea what to do. There are more of these examples but I don't want to write a paperback about them, although I probably could. I completely understand that as a hospital you are certainly happy to have whatever staff you can get for this area BUT, as already mentioned above, it cannot be the case that the patients suffer in fear and often in pain and " "have to endure".
