  Small but noteworthy Irene at the Deutsches Museum for cooking and dining culture was a lovely host. She told us as well as her English was able about various culinary trends that have influenced fine (and not so fine) dining in Germany. The collection was significantly damaged (read mostly destroyed) in the war when the allies pretty much blew up the building the museum was housed in. There were a handful of bottles of wine, 4 pressure cookers (one of which was modem beyond 1940s), and some lovely traditional dining vessels. They are rebuilding, of course, but it's been a slow progress. There was an exhibit on decorative napkin folding, with a hands on component. I made a bishops' miter! Then, as we were leaving, she told us about the Apfelweinfest... Super helpful, really interesting, and I'd love to see the new exhibit once it gets categorized!

  Wie hatten eine tiptop Führung dort! Super interessant (was so alles aus Frankfurt kommt! ) und mega nett erklärt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall nochmal wieder! Zu finden ist es nur nicht soooo einfach - auf jeden Fall klingeln.
