::Very great and historical place to spend some time! The castle itself is beautiful and easily to access. Well taken care off, a lot of parking spaces around and quiet places to sit down or relax. Entering the inner walls you'll reach the the outside part of the restaurant with an kids playground. The food is really tasty and there is enough different to choose. Also for the breakfast, which is included, you'll have quite the variety. You even can try the own castle beer from stone mugs :) The private owners, which are present and also working there, are absolutely open minded, very friendly and helpfully - as the staff is too. Really outstanding. Rooms are clean, ours had a nice view and with everything you need, TV and free wifi. While the living area in the castle is quite vast, we passed through several small relaxing areas with places to sit, great and old interior and long walkways. There's really a lot to discover from former times!

::We absolutely loved our stay at Burg Colmberg! The staff were all very lovely and welcoming. It is a very well Maintained castle with a lot of charm and history. We loved all the decor and nooks throughout the floors. The rooms were simple but nice. Wish there was a kettle in there! We also found the rooms were not very soundproof which was annoying as the room next door were quite loud (not the fault of the hotel). We stayed for two nights and one night the restaurant wasn’t open. This is something that I recommend every one plan in advanced as there are limited options for places open in Colmberg except the supermarket, especially during the holiday season. When the restaurant was open, the food was so delicious and reasonably priced! We also recommend coming here with a car. We came on train and a bus which was doable but would have been so much easier with a car.

::We had a wonderful stay at Colmberg Castle Hotel and Restaurant. The dinner was delicious, the room warm and comfortable, and the breakfast satisfying and substantial. The staff was extremely friendly, and being that it’s family-owned and family-run, the welcome was warm and inviting. It is definitely a place you will will want to stay at if you’ve never spent the night in an actual castle and you’re visiting Bavaria.

::Totally recommend this place - this is a fairytale experience. You can have your room in an authentic castle but with modern touches - the rooms are warm and comfy and the food is great! Also my kid was very happy to be able to walk all over the castle as he pleased.
