The biggest things that matter to me are cleanliness, location and safety (especially as a solo traveler) and this hotel met all those marks. The night shift clerk at reception was super kind and helpful and assisted with an issue that I had, all with a smile on his face- not always the case! My first room was small but clean and tidy, the mini bar prices very reasonable and the location was fantastic, an easy walk to food, shopping and the Christmas market. My second room (because of a small issue) was massive and could have fit four people! Breakfast was wonderful with a plethora of options and nice dining room. The only thing I must mention as a very light sleeper, is that the hotel faces a busier street with a tram on one side and the church on the other. This meant for great views but verrrrrry loud church bells going off multiple times per hour. It's nice the first time but can be very hard to sleep through.

A quaint little hotel with a fantastic breakfast and wonderful staff. The room is small but had everything I needed. Definitely recommended.

( + ) I like the night receptionist who was very attentive and helpful when we arrived and checked in. I like the breakfast buffet which was extensive, high quality and tasty. ( - ) However the lady at reception in the next morning was very rude and did a very bad job as a customer service staff in my opinion. We drank 1 water bottle on the top counter in our room, under the impression that things on the top counter are free - which is a common understanding in some places. Yes at this point, we admit this is our fault for lack of knowledge. We also told upfront to the lady and happily paid for that which was a very tiny amount. There was nothing more to say here but the lady made a drama out of this and reacted as if we were trying to get away and blamed the hotel. This was apparently not the case. If we had bad will, we could have just lied and said "we did not drink anything" when she asked. Even when we proceeded the payment, she kept lecturing us about "this time you learned a lesson" and slamming the desk brochure (which is placed in every room) in front of us, pointing to the price details, as a proof of "this is communicated clearly in your room". On top of the unnecessary drama, there was clear disrespect in her attitude. Since we are Asian, I could not help to think that this is somehow racist. The hotel should consider retraining their staffs because this will certainly damage their image. This is not good customer service at all. I myself will not consider going back to this hotel.

Great location in the city center! The portable AC unit made the very hot day in Augsburg tolerable and I had a good night sleep. The rooms were small and outdated but clean . There is a ledge coming out of the bathroom and the bedroom into the hallway - even with warning signs I tripped more than once . No Netflix available on tv , for an American not being able to stream something in English was disappointing. Lovely breakfast with many options and friendly staff. Delicious soft boiled eggs 🥚!! Location location location was great!!

Perfect location and very friendly/helpful staff members. We arrived early and they allowed us to check in as the room was ready. On check out they had a very safe method of storing our bags as we went on a day trip nearby. The rooms are modest but clean and have everything you need. The breakfast is one of the best European style breakfasts I've had. It included all the classic European options but also a large selection of fruit, cheese, breads, and extras like health shots and yoghurt bowls. You can also order classics like omelettes and bacon and eggs so don't miss that!
