  Went for an early dinner on Sunday after visiting the Fort. The food blew us away - the starter And the main course exceeded our expectations ( cream of tomato starter , Beef rumpsteak, pork tenderloins). I found our chosen desert overpriced for what was served but it was still tasty (a warm chocolate brownie) The cuisine is definitely not what one expects when walking into the homely furnished restaurant :) The waitressses were also attentive and very friendly (this is soo rare in Germany It needs mentioning). Would definitely come back if in the area.

  First good sleep at a hotel in a very long time. Usually there is always somebody making noise or slamming the doors. Not here, at least not this time. Occupancy was low that night and I was given a room at the end of the corridor, second floor. The corridor door is a bit loud when closing so it could have been different. Very clean. Rustic castle feel. Good breakfast. The coffee could have been better. Friendly and competent staff. Good mattress and bed. Clean hot shower. Free parking. Beautiful rural classic German burg feel. Lovely town and surroundings. I would definitely come back.

  The view is really good. The seating areas have around four different areas to choose from. This way the view is different, I sat on the small balcony with a field view. The service at that time was also pretty good but I only went to sleep and did not stay. While hiking a bit so there is no comment on the rooms themselves and the other services. As for the food I only ordered a portion of fries and a glass of red sweet wine.

  Very well run hotel. Large clean room. Good breakfast choice and evening meal menu. We enjoyed our 3 days there. With all the covid19 precautions in place we still had a good time there. All the staff were more than ready to help. Big thank you. A well earnt 5 stars.
