  It was a good thing that the Bremen Central Station was there for my use because otherwise I would have had a hard time getting back to the Airport in Cologne from Oldenburg, and out of the country. It was not comfortable for me though. I am traveling with an expensive bicycle so many of the restaurants and any chance of getting to a toilet are not available to me. There are homeless people and hustlers everywhere so I can not leave my bicycle unattended even fo a moment. The German ticket system is only efficient if you have grown up with it and the German Information people are not very good at providing information (I speak German). Meaning that I have to make costly mistakes to learn the system. I was born in Germany (to German parents) but I don't know or understand these complicated and strict rules that present day Germany has set up for itself. Overall a great experience, but things could be improved.

  A beautiful, accessible and easy-to-navigate train station despite its size. One of the key places in town if you come to Bremen just because of cheap flights (Ryanair anyone?). It is rather easy to get here from the airport (by tram line 6). There is also an Aldi nearby.
