Great place for children education purposes. Also some great variety of insects and plants. Very cooperative staff and tour guide

I took part in the chocolate making course. It was great (although surprisingly easy). Our guide/instructor made it excellent by being an enthusiastic explainer of everything chocolate - including the neurochemstiry (We might have gotten lucky, since he was a chemist and was filling in for the usual guide). He managed to keep both the 7 year-olds as well as the adults engaged and learning, which I think it a pretty tough thing to do. The Biospähre is worth a full day visit, though: the exhibits and landscaping are great. There is a butterfly house, too! And obviously, it is really nice to go someplace that warm in the middle of a Berliner winter (there are lockers for storing bags and winter clothes).

My visit here was wonderful, it felt like a rainforest! There are so many cool critters and plants to look at, great exotic birds flying around, big koi fish swimming about, my favorite part was the butterfly enclosure, where big blue butterflies will land on your head! Magical time, 10/10 would recommend. 👍

At first we thought it might be a bit too small. but thanks to a lot of info posters and interesting animals/plants our tour did take two hours, without a stop at the cafe. The indoor atmosphere is superb and really refreshing when it's grey outside. Total recommend!

Wonderful architecture and tropical plants. What else could you ask for? It would be a shame if this was closed! The staff was really nice and helpful (especially the guy in the butterfly garden was super into his job and explained everything to the guests). We were also sitting at the koi pond, enjoying some refreshments, just chilling out and taking photos. Overall great day and experience. If you want to get away from all the Berlin buzz...this is the place for you!
