::It was not my first stay in this hotel, and I came back because the previous time it was an overall good experience, however this time I cannot say I was satisfied. The first issue has to do with the parking: when I arrived, the parking was full of cars from a building company that is working in the nearby site. There were both large pickups and trucks using parking spaces which should have been dedicated to the clients, as well as people chatting in front of them and drinking alcoholic beverages. Also, the cars where parked badly so that many places were unaccessible. I had to wait for 30 minutes before a parking was eventually freed. It turned out that people from the construction site were using a room dedicated to hotel guests nearby the hall, like it was a bar and in the process, used up parking spaces. The second issue has to do with the clearness of the room: room were hardly cleaned and the floor was left dirty for all the stay (5 days). This is not acceptable. For what concerns friendliness of the staff: although I politely addressed the staff with a "good morning" or " good evening" depending on the occasion, my salutations were never answered. Also, nobody ever asked me anything or acknowledged me as a customer. Really sad.

::Picked this hotel because of the location. Ideal for us as we didn't have a lot of spare time. Rooms okay but clean. Helpful staff too

::A short walk from Mönchengladbach Hauptbahnhof made this a practical choice. Its even closer to the Vitusbad swimming pool which is open early enough for you to have a pre-breakfast swim. It has good children's pools in there too if you're coming with family. The room was clean and well sound-proofed. Thank goodness, our shower had a glass door, not a shower curtain as pictured in your photo! Good functioning lifts. Excellent buffet-style continental breakfast from 07:30 am which includes fresh crispy rolls, good quality salami, cheese, jams, cerials, boiled egg, yoghurts tasty & unlimited hot drinks and fruit juices. We ordered it for the first morning only but realized it was well worth the 10.50€ and had it for every morning of our stay. The free Wi-Fi was a real plus for me. An excellent signal and a WLAN network rather than the deadly Open Wifi, . This is unusual in many UK hotels.. Only minus (coming from the UK) the room didn't have a kettle and drinks were only available from a coin-operated vending machine in the entrance lobby. I'm not a fan of vending machine tea and I NEED my early morning cuppa when I awake. However, there was a good, solid hair dryer which saved packing one. How about a free hot water dispenser on each floor and a few packs of tea bags/coffee sachets & milk powder in the rooms, if you don't want to put kettles in the rooms?

::The quality of the pillows and bed was very good. When we got up, our backs felt very comfortable and we had a good sleep.

::I stayed one night from Sunday to Monday together with my wife on the way to Holland. In general everything was OK. The only problem was the noise from the road when the window was open. The hotel was quite empty, and I wish our room would be on the other side.
